HSE Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #1

This is my second post of the day, so be sure to scroll down and see the second of my LOSTie card kit creations!

Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal has started a fun new weekly challenge - a cupcake challenge! Every Sunday she will post a picture of a cupcake and we are to use that picture as a source of inspiration to make a card, scrapbook page, or whatever your heart desires. You do NOT need to use cupcake stamps, just take whatever you want from the photo - the colors, the theme, etc. and run with it!

Here is the photo for today's challenge:

I just love how pretty and springy these cupcakes are! I of course immediately thought of the PTI Little Lady set, so that served as my main image. As soon as I saw the "ruffles" of the frosting, I knew just what ribbon I wanted to use as well. I think the edges of the white ribbon are very similar to that delicious-looking piped frosting. The little punched out pink flowers were the finishing touch inspired by the photo. And of course no card is complete without some sort of bling, so I adhered pink jewel stickers to the centers of the flowers.

Now it's your turn! Create a card inspired by the photo and leave a comment on Rachel's post with a link to your blog or gallery entry (use keyword CIC1 on SCS or Paper Craft Planet). Link your creation before next Sunday, because one random participant this week will win $10 toward the Hope Stamps Eternal store!! What are you waiting for?? Go forth and stamp!!
