This card was made with Edie's card kit. Sorry the picture's a little dark - it was a taken on a cloudy day and the weather really does affect how photos come out!
Overall I'm fairly happy with how this card came out, but there are two things I'm not thrilled with. The first is my apparent inability to paper pierce in a straight line, even with a template! My pierced lines started to slant up as I went across the card and I didn't notice it until I was almost at the end. Ooops! The second thing is the ribbon slide. I had what I thought was a great idea to create a faux ribbon using a very slim strip of New Leaf cardstock to cover up where the two papers meet and thought the ribbon slide would provide a nice compliment to the brad since they're both from the same Hodgepodge hardware kit. But, once everything was adhered and done, I decided it looks a little weird I think. Oh well!

Love what you did with this....great use of hardware!
ReplyDeleteFunny, the paper piercing was the first thing I noticed...in a good way!, until I read the post. I liked it! :> I have also managed to old off on the spring tags set, but when I keep seeing it used and so bright and cheery, it gets more difficult! :>
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love this! What a fun kit!
ReplyDeleteCool idea with the hardware and paper, I like it! And I didn't notice the paper piercing, doesn't look bad at all. Pretty card Jess!
