Verve Looking for Love Release Challenge #2

This card was for the second Verve Looking for Love Challenge. I love sketch challenges because I tend to get in a rut otherwise, but they definitely are a challenge for me. This card took me forever to do and really isn't even all that complicated. The color combo - Certainly Celery, Cranberry Crisp, and Cool Caribbean - was pulled from this patterned paper by Paper Salon. I liked how the dots around the Imaginisce cupcake sort of mimicked the polka dots, or at least they did in my mind!

Lots of bling on this card - 16 gemstones in total! And the "frosting" is Stardust stickles. Love that sparkle! The ribbon that finished off the card is from American Crafts and in person is a pretty close match to Cool Caribbean.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Great color combo!!!! I like you scallops and all the bling...great card!

  2. Oh-Em-Gee! (said like a total valley girl!) I LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!! The polka dot paper is so cute, the colors are great, and who doesn't love a cupcake with glitter?
